GROVE CITY, Pa. – The Grove City College Society for Science, Faith and Technology’s fall book talks conclude Nov. 27 on “Species of Origins: America’s Search for a Creation Story” by Karl Giberson and Donald Yerxa.
The discussion is set for 7:30 to 9 p.m. in the Great Room of the Student Union on the Grove City College campus. The organization hosted two sessions in the series earlier this fall.
The book examines America’s conversation about creation and evolution, arguing that while part of the discord stems from the growing cultural and religious diversity of the United States, the real issue is the confrontation between two worldviews: modern naturalistic science and traditional Judeo-Christian religions.

On Feb. 7, 2007, the Society will host a one-day conference on the same topic, with eminent scholars speaking on campus about the historical, philosophical, and scientific issues surrounding the two creation stories of evolution and intelligent design.
