GROVE CITY, Pa. – Five student-directed one-act plays will take the stage Sept. 28 through Sept. 30 during the Grove City College Tau Alpha Pi One-Act Festival. The performances will be at 7:30 p.m. in the Little Theater in the Pew Fine Arts Center on campus.
TAP One-Acts are directed and performed by students and are a fall and spring tradition at Grove City College for members of the theater honorary.
This fall’s plays include: “A Marriage Proposal,” directed by junior Elanor Snyder of Bethel Park, Pa.; “Directing Uncle Vanya,” directed by junior Patrick McElroy of Grove City, Pa.; “Labor Pains,” directed by senior Jessica Satryan of Wilmington, Del., and sophomore Rebekah Pasquarello of Greencastle, Pa.; “Variations on the Death of Trotsky,” directed by senior Kevin McGuire of Sarver, Pa.; and “For Whom the Southern Belle Tolls,” directed by junior Jesse Aukeman of Byron Center, Mich.
The Tau Alpha Pi theater honorary is advised by English professor Dr. Janice Brown. The One-Acts are coordinated by senior Shelly Smith of South Williamsport, Pa., with Aukeman co-coordinating.
Free tickets for the performances can be picked up in the Student Activities Center on campus, but admission is open to all, depending on space, after 7:15 each evening. Doors open at 7 p.m. Seating is limited and audience members are encouraged to arrive early.
