Grove City College announces two faculty openings in Chinese Studies in the Department of Modern Languages beginning in August 2009. Ph.D. preferred and native/near-native proficiency in both Mandarin Chinese and English required. One position is primarily language instruction and the other position is in the area of Chinese culture and history. Responsibilities include teaching introductory to advanced undergraduate Chinese studies and language courses. This position also will assist in developing the College’s Chinese program and guiding student research opportunities for modern language students.

 

Candidates must evidence a strong record of classroom teaching, scholarship within their field, and a commitment to instructing highly motivated students (1267/1600 average SAT for entering freshmen). Rank and salary are commensurate with qualifications.
