GROVE CITY, Pa. – The Grove City College Department of Entrepreneurship’s 2006-07 Visionary Entrepreneurship Speakers Series will continue with a panel and two speakers that are free and open to the public.
Mark Miller, vice president of training and development for Chick-fil-A, Inc., and author of “The Secret! What Great Leaders Know – and Do,” will speak on Feb. 8. His presentation, “Building and Maintaining an Entrepreneurial Culture,” will begin at 6:30 p.m. in the Sticht Lecture Hall of the Hall of Arts and Letters.
Miller began working at Chick-fil-A as an hourly team member in 1977. In 1978, he joined the corporate staff working in the warehouse and mailroom. Since that time, Miller has held several leadership positions with corporate communications, field operations and quality and customer satisfaction. He is a member of the Restaurant Operations Council, Menu Strategy Team, Future Trends Team and the Strategic Planning Team for Chick-fil-A, Inc.
A panel of successful woman entrepreneurs will talk about the challenges of building a successful company and family on Feb. 21. The panel, “The Challenges and Opportunities facing the Woman Entrepreneur,” is set for 7 p.m. in Sticht Lecture Hall.
Panel members include: Kelly Carrier ’90, founder and principle of Strategic Valuation Group; Jane Dixon ’85, former chief financial officer of Iron City Door and Sash and currently principal of West Mount Investments; and Mary Del Brady, CEO of RedPath Integrated Pathology.
Dr. Tim Habbershon ’81, the founding director of the Institute for Family Enterprising in the Arthur M. Blank Center for Entrepreneurship at Babson College, will speak on April 11. His presentation, “Family Business,” will be at 7 p.m. in Sticht Lecture Hall
Habbershon holds the President’s Term Chair in Family Enterprising. He is a founder and principal in The TELOS Group, specializes in transition and strategy consultations to enterprising families. Prior to Babson, Habbershon was the founding director of the Wharton Enterprising Families Initiative at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
