GROVE CITY, Pa. – Grove City College’s Tau Alpha chapter of Kappa Delta Pi, the international honorary for education, has received the Achieving Chapter Excellence Award. This is the third consecutive time that the Grove City chapter will receive this award. A ceremony and International Convocation for KDP is set for Nov. 1 in Kentucky.
Two or three members of the honorary will attend, along with chapter adviser Carolyn Patterson, a lecturer in education and director of the early education center on campus. There, the chapter will also be eligible for the Ace of the ACE award.
Kappa Delta Pi was established in 1904 as the Illinois Education Club. The honor society is committed to recognizing excellence and promoting mutual cooperation, support and professional growth for education professionals. The local chapter at Grove City was awarded for service projects students have coordinated and participated in.
