ECONOMICS EXPERT HERBENER TO SPEAK AT LUNCHEON |

GROVE CITY, Pa. – The Center for Vision & Values at Grove City College will host Dr. Jeffrey M. Herbener, chairman of the College’s economics department and professor of economics, on March 18 as part of the American Founders Luncheon Series at the Rivers Club in Pittsburgh.
Sponsored by the Center and the Pittsburgh Federalist Society, the American Founders Luncheon Series brings to Pittsburgh respected scholars on America’s founding to present talks focused on the beliefs, actions and character of those leaders who pursued a “Great Experiment” in whether humans are capable of governing themselves.
Herbener, who is also a senior fellow at the Ludwig Von Mises Institute and coordinator of the economics working group at the Center, will present “Hamilton and the Greenback,” a look at the plunge of the dollar and general economic unrest through the perspective of America’s founders.
The editor of two books, “The Meaning of Ludwig von Mises” and “The Interventionist State,” Herbener has had over a hundred articles published in publications including “The Wall Street Journal,” “Investor’s Business Daily,” the “Quarterly Journal of Austrian Economics” and the “Journal of Libertarian Studies.”
