DIXONS TO PARTAKE IN LILLY FOUNDATION SEMINAR |

GROVE CITY, Pa. – Grove City College faculty members Dr. James Dixon III, chair of the department of English and professor of English, and Dr. Diane Dixon, professor of English and communication studies, have been selected as participants for the Lilly Foundation summer seminar held June 21 to July 16 on “Gender and Christianity.” The Dixons are two of the 12 participants who will travel to Seattle Pacific University for the seminar.
The seminar seeks to inform faculty of the seemingly incompatible views of gender and Christianity, encouraging participants to become catalysts of discussion and action toward reconciliation on the issue among students, staff and faculty at their own universities.
The seminar will be directed by Dr. Priscilla Pope-Levison, professor of theology and assistant director of women’s studies, and Dr. Jack Levison, professor of New Testament, of Seattle Pacific University.
