COLLEGE TO HOST WINTER JAZZ AND POPS CONCERT |

GROVE CITY, Pa. – The Grove City College Music Department will be presenting the seventh annual winter jazz and pops concert Dec. 10 at 8 p.m. in Ketler Auditorium of the Pew Fine Arts Center on campus. Doors open at 7:35 p.m.; the concert is free and open to the public.
This year’s concert is expanded to include a number of selections of chorale and pops vocal ensemble music. The concert will feature the Grove City College Singers making their debut performance with a selection of seasonal and traditional song favorites. They are under the direction of Stacy Paparone ’93, instructor of music and fine arts.
The concert will include arrangements such as “God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen,” “Silver Bells,” “Baby It’s Cold Outside,” “Jingle Bells” and “A Salute to Glenn Miller,” among other Christmas favorites.
The award-winning Grove City College Jazz Ensemble is under the direction of Dr. Joseph M. Pisano ’94, assistant chair of the department of music and fine arts and associate professor of music and fine arts technology.
