COLLEGE RECEIVES GRANT FROM BAYER CORPORATION |

GROVE CITY, Pa. – The Grove City College Computer Science Department was presented with a grant of $15,000 from the Bayer USA Foundation. The grant was formally given to College President Richard G. Jewell ’67 prior to a luncheon held Nov. 1 in the President’s Dining Room in Mary Anderson Pew residence hall on campus. The grant reflects the strong relationship between the College and Bayer Corp.
The grant will support a project for a software engineering course taught by Dr. Dorian Yeager, professor of computer science and mathematics. With technical assistance provided by Matt Debowski ’02, Bayer SAP facilities and asset management IT analyst, students participating in the project will develop an application and gain industrial experience.
