COLLEGE HOSTS BREAKFAST FOR WOMEN LEADERS |

GROVE CITY, Pa. – Grove City College will host a “Women in Leadership” breakfast meeting presented by the Western PA Network of the American Council on Education from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. on March 18. The conference will be held in the Carnegie Alumni Center on campus and is open to anyone in higher education.
The featured speaker of the conference will be Dr. Donna Burns, executive director of the American Council on Education/Office of Women in Higher Education, an organization that seeks to provide advancement to women into executive positions and campus presidencies.
Prior to leading the council, Burns, author of “Reaching: Ascending the Ladder of Academic Administration Rung by Rung,” had served as tenured member of the English department at Cleveland State University. She will conclude her lecture with roundtable discussions.
Conference discussions will include managing various roles and stress, power of language, the vinegar-honey debate, hidden curriculum, healthy campus culture and practical ways to move forward in a career.
