GROVE CITY, Pa. – Grove City College’s Entrepreneurship program is hosting the national 2007 Women’s Economic Development Outreach Tour. The Tour, “a unique opportunity for women business owners to glean strategic business growth, advice and information from experts,” is set for 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Oct. 19 in Sticht Lecture Hall in the Hall of Arts and Letters on the Grove City College campus.
The conference is beginning its seventh year touring in Pennsylvania and now tours in five other states as well. In past years, Thiel and Westminster Colleges have hosted the Tour.
“[The WEDO tour] is part of our support of regional entrepreneurship, especially for women,” said Dr. James Dupree, chair of the Department of Entrepreneurship at the College.
Added Entrepreneurship Program Manager Roselyn Ramsey, “We’re encouraging entrepreneurship by sponsoring it … promoting small business growth in the area.”
The 2007 conference will focus on how to use online services, successfully outsource business solutions, develop strategic partnerships and analyze financial statements to ensure a secure financial future.
Registration for the event is $35. Interested women business owners can register at www.we-do.net. Space is limited and registration will be granted on a first come, first serve basis.
