GROVE CITY, Pa. – Grove City College has hired a new counselor to work at the College’s Counseling Center with male students.
Ardell “Ted” Meyer, MSW, LSW, will serve as a part-time mental health counselor and “brings a wide range of individual and group counseling experience to us,” said Assistant Dean of Students S. Ann Stranahan.
Meyer graduated from Edinboro University of Pennsylvania in 2006 with a master’s degree in social work. He also works at George Junior Republic full time as a treatment team coordinator. His first day at the College was Sept. 29 and he will work Mondays, as well as Tuesday and Wednesday mornings.
Dr. Suzanne Houk, director of the College’s counseling services and assistant professor of psychology, said that Meyer “will be able to address specific issues that male students struggle with.”
