COLLEGE BEGINS HOLIDAYS WITH LIGHT UP NIGHT |

GROVE CITY, Pa. – Grove City College rings in the holiday season with “Light Up Night” on Dec. 2, starting at 6 p.m. in front of Rockwell Hall of Science. The event is open to the public.
The Wolverine Marching Band will play a prelude of “Sounds of Christmas,” and the College’s President Dr. Richard G. Jewell ’67 will give opening remarks. New Grace Singers and the Marching Band will then lead the singing of the first verse of “O Come All Ye Faithful” and “Little Town of Bethlehem.”
Dean of the Chapel Dr. F. Stanley Keehlwetter will recite Luke 2:1-20, the Christmas story, and Sarah Wishing, daughter of Lee Wishing ’83, administrative director of The Center for Vision & Values, will read “Star in the East” by J.M. Lowrie. During her reading, the star on the top of the Rockwell Hall of Science clock tower and the trees lining the Quad will be lit.
Following the reading, New Grace will lead the singing of “Joy to the World” and “Hark the Herald Angels Sing” and close with prayer. The Marching Band will play of postlude of “Sounds of Angels” to end the ceremony.
