CHU TO JOIN ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT IN FALL |

GROVE CITY, Pa. – Grove City College welcomes new Assistant Professor of Electrical Engineering Dr. Kuan-Lu Chu, who will begin teaching at the College in fall 2011.
Chu earned his B.S. in physics from National Taiwan University and his M.B.A. from National Taipei University. He holds an M.Eng. in electrical and computer engineering from Cornell University and a Ph.D. in electrical and computer engineering from the University of Illinois.
Since 2007, Chu has been with the electrical engineering department at Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio, where he taught courses in sensors, circuit analysis and renewable energy technologies while also directing senior design projects.
An author of “Porous Silicon Membrane Based Formic Acid Fuel Cells for Micro Power Generation,” he has also published numerous articles in referred journals. Chu jointly holds a patent for new column designs for the micro gas chromatograph.
His wife, Jing-I Jang, holds a D.M.A. in harp performance and literature from the University of Illinois plus two Master of Music degrees in harp and piano performance also from the University of Illinois.
