BRIGHT NAMED TO DEPARTMENT CHAIRMAN POST |

GROVE CITY, Pa. – Grove City College has named Dr. Mike Bright chairman of the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering.
Bright takes the place of Dr. Tim Mohr, who had served as department chairman since 2000 and also assistant dean of the Albert A. Hopeman, Jr. School of Science, Engineering and Mathematics since 2004. Mohr will continue in his role as assistant dean and professor of electrical engineering.
Bright joined the College in 1998 as the College’s first chief information officer. For the past six years, Bright has taught full-time in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, and this year he helped to spearhead the College’s self-study and report for ABET, an organization that provides leadership and quality assurance in applied science, computing, engineering and technology education.
Mike holds his Ph.D. in computer engineering from the Pennsylvania State University, his master’s degree in computer science from George Washington University and his bachelor’s in computer science from Purdue University.
