Located just north of Pittsburgh in the rolling hills of Ben Avon Heights, Shannopin Country Club played host to the 7th Annual Grove City College Alumni & Friends Golf Outing. The weather and the event could not have been better. With over 40 golfers, the scramble format and numerous skill prizes allowed for competition and camaraderie. Next year’s golf outing will be held June 21, 2010.
After a great day’s outing, the crowd enjoyed a mouth-watering New York Strip Steak Cook Out. President Dick Jewell ’67 was on hand to address the group. Representing the College was Melissa (Trifaro ’96) MacLeod, Senior Director of Alumni and College Relations, Dave Hollenbaugh ’92, Senior Director of Development, Carol (MacGamwell ’79) Yannuzzi, Development Officer, Kelsey (Pollock ’06) Rhea, Assistant Director of Alumni Relations and Tricia Corey, Office Manager.
