Dear GCC Alumnus,

Greetings from the Career Services Office! We hope and pray that life outside of Grove City College is going well for you and that you are thriving in the areas to which God has called you—namely in the area known as your vocational calling!

In the CSO, we are thrilled to have the opportunity to serve our current students in the career development process through a four-year strategy that involves one-on-one counseling appointments, as well as a variety of programs and services. However, we are also interested in working with alumni of the college and partnering with you in a variety of ways.

For one thing, the Career Services Office is looking to team up with alumni from a diverse range of career fields that are willing to offer insights from their career experiences. We offer many ways for alumni to get connected with our office and our students, including the Alumni Shadowing Program we hold annually in Cleveland and our spring Alumni Career Panel Night. Furthermore, we are interested in utilizing alumni to assist our current GCC students with their job searching needs and serve as an advocate for them within your places of employment. One main way you could assist us with this endeavor is to inform us of any internship and full-time job opportunities where you work that could be filled by Grove City College students.

With respect to your own job search, one helpful career resource we provide our alumni is the new Alumni e-Community. You can network with alumni, post your resume, and search for job opportunities.

A second resource is CareerTools. This is a branded site created and updated by Lee Hecht Harrison, the largest outplacement firm in the world. The major features of CareerTools include: career plan development, self assessment instruments, resume and cover letter samples, organization research tools and databases, job lead and job search agents, and the salary survey.                                                                                           

Overall, we are eager to connect GCC alums with the College and greatly look forward to working with you!
