What is an RSS feed? Really Simple Syndication (RSS) is an XML format designed for sharing headlines, summaries and other Web content -- a distributable "what's new" for the site. Users who subscribe to the feed will have the latest Grove City College headlines created by the communications staff automatically delivered to their web browser.
Typical applications for using RSS include using a program known as a "news aggregator" to collect and display RSS feeds. These news readers will download and display updated RSS feeds. Free readers are available for download to the user's computer desktop for installation. Other services will let the user add RSS feeds to a Web browser.
Users can subscribe to the College's RSS news feeds by clicking on "News Releases," going to the icons below the left-side menu and then adding one of the RSS readers to their internet browser.
